Emeryville, CA. Innovative Interfaces today announced the appointment of Kathryn Harnish as Senior Vice President of Product Strategy.
"Kathryn is a library industry veteran and librarian," said Chris Fields, Chief Technology Officer at Innovative. "She has a great passion for preserving the role of libraries in the community and we know her enthusiasm and experience will prove very valuable as we begin early development of our next generation of products."
Harnish holds an impressive track record for strategic innovation. Prior to joining Innovative, she held senior positions at ProQuest, OCLC, and Ex Libris/Endeavor where she led forward-looking product portfolio strategies. Most recently, she was a consultant on EBSCO's Folio project.
In her new position, Harnish will pair her deep domain knowledge with extensive product strategy leadership to enhance Innovative's long-term product roadmap, engage library partners, and help them transform the way they deliver the library experience.
"I am strongly encouraged by the investment Innovative has already made in the library space," said Harnish. "It's inspiring to be part of a team and a technology company that values modern business strategy, an adaptive culture, and the type of transformative solutions libraries need to thrive in this ever-changing landscape."
Harnish received her MLS from the University of Pittsburgh.
