Emeryville, Calif.—Innovative Interfaces, a leading provider of library automation software that empowers libraries globally, is pleased to announce the Waco-McLennan County Library in Waco, Texas has selected the Polaris integrated library system (ILS).
Already introduced to a new, bigger circulation desk at the Central Library, patrons at Waco-McLennan will soon experience rich new interface features and more mobile options when the library launches the Polaris ILS across four branches.
Several managers and staff members were involved in the ILS selection process which included hands-on interaction with Polaris.
"Our staff was able to see great potential for customization and the ways we could easily integrate our collection," said Jessica Emmett, Community Services Supervisor. "Polaris enables us to reflect our own personal style and give patrons great, user-friendly services. We liked the fit for our future."
As part of Innovative's next-generation solution portfolio, Polaris is built to evolve with technological advancements. This will enable Waco-McLennan to realize ongoing operational efficiency as Innovative continues development of enterprise class technology.
"Soon we will be able to promote other library services in addition to checkouts and circulation," said Emmett. "These are the features that keep patrons coming back and, at the end of the day, that is our primary goal."
"We look forward to starting the new year with Waco-McLennan as our library partner," said Innovative CEO Jim Tallman. "Our technology development is largely driven by expanding engagement with the library community and we are very pleased to see how libraries like Waco-McLennan are incorporating the Innovative platform into their strategies for the future."
