Press Release: The Library Corporation [August 31, 2017]

Ysleta ISD joins the TLC Family

Inwood, WV -- August 31, 2017. The Library Corporation is pleased to announce that Ysleta Independent School District has chosen the Library.Solution for Schools integrated library system to deliver premier library management software and services for its students and educators.

Ysleta ISD went live on August 28 with Library.Solution for Schools and is among the first public school systems to implement TLC's next-generation cataloging solution, LS2 Cataloging. TLC's LS2 Cataloging for Library.Solution for Schools delivers robust and intuitive web-based tools that simplify cataloging workflow for everyone. Hosted by TLC, the system is accessible to library employees and students anytime using any device. According to Ms. Virginia Rey, Coordinator of Library Media Centers for Ysleta ISD, "Ysleta ISD is ecstatic about transitioning to a 21st century automation system that is more appealing, robust, and user friendly for the end user."

The 102-year-old Ysleta Independent School District is the third largest school district in El Paso, TX serving nearly 42,000 students in a diverse community. Since its founding in 1915, Ysleta ISD has grown from a small, rural district to a pioneering leader in local education. The district is comprised of 61 school sites including an all-girls college-preparatory school for grades 6-12, international schools, and early-college high schools. TLC now serves 2 of the 3 largest, most innovative school districts in El Paso as Ysleta ISD joins Socorro ISD, which has been using Library.Solution for Schools since 2009.

Ysleta ISD transitioned to Library.Solution for Schools from an Innovative Interfaces, Inc. ILS that has been in use since 1999. TLC's software allows students to place holds, download eBooks, and more from home or school.
