Los Angeles, CA -- June 8, 2017. LAC Group has named Jim Haggerty as vice president for the company's LibSource business unit. Haggerty has 21 years of experience with the legal industry and information services. LibSource delivers Library as a Service (LaaS) solutions for research, business intelligence and other library and information center needs.
Haggerty joins LibSource from LexisNexis where he spent more than 20 years as vice president of sales for the Am Law 100 and large corporate legal departments. While at LexisNexis, his sales teams consisting of client managers, solutions consultants and practice area specialists were responsible for producing more than $200 million in annual revenue. During his tenure as a vice president, regional director and early in his career as an account manager, Haggerty was remarkable for consistently topping revenue and new business targets, opening accounts with corporate clients and creating a compelling product proposition for employers outside the legal industry.
"I worked with LAC at LexisNexis and became acquainted with LAC Group CEO Deb Schwarz and others within the company," says Haggerty. "The legal industry is poised to go through some dramatic changes in the coming years, and I feel that LAC is well positioned to help law firms capitalize on these changes."
"My goals include showing corporations what LibSource has been able to accomplish for the legal industry, and how that translates to companies facing similar research challenges," adds Haggerty. "I would like to increase the very solid rate of growth that LibSource has enjoyed by bringing to bear my 21 years of sales experience in the legal industry."
At LibSource, Haggerty will oversee the expansion of the company's Library as a Service offerings for on-site and virtual research librarians at law firms, corporations and any organization wanting unparalleled research and competitive intelligence.
"Jim has helped an extraordinary list of clients during his career; he knows how to assess a customer's situation and tailor a product or service to truly help the people he's selling to," says Rob Corrao, president and chief operating officer for LAC Group. "He's a strategic thinker who's engineered the successful restructuring of business units, but he also knows how to roll up his sleeves and help his teams deliver on promises, which makes him doubly effective."
Haggerty holds a bachelor's in marketing from the State University of New York.
