Marmot Library Network is pleased to announce that Santa Fe Public Library is now live on the Pika discovery layer. "SFPL is excited to join the Marmot Library Network as a discovery partner using their open-source discovery software, Pika. The implementation process went smoothly thanks to the expertise of the Marmot development team. The look and feel of our new catalog is a big improvement and we are hearing positive feedback from our patrons," said Santa Fe's Library Systems Manager, Bae Smith. Pika includes seamless checkout and account integration with ebooks and digital magazines, a mobile-ready responsive interface, linked data (Schema.org), and a unique "record-grouping" feature that improves the user experience with large library catalogs.
The Santa Fe Public Library serves its community through its Main Library and two neighborhood branches in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The mission of the Santa Fe Public Library is to inform, enrich and educate the members of the community by creating and promoting access to a diversity of ideas and information, and by supporting lifelong learning and reading. In accomplishing its mission, the library honors the community's unique cultural heritage and traditions, while preparing its community members for the future.
Marmot Library Network hosts an integrated library system, maintains a union catalog of 1.8 million works, and provides related IT services for 27 public, academic, and school libraries in Colorado. Marmot develops and supports Pika discovery layer software for Marmot members and "Discovery Partners" across the United States.
