Ingram Content Group applauds Binc for 20 years of service to booksellers and families in need

December 14, 2016. Ingram Content Group Applauds Binc for 20 Years of Service to Booksellers and Families in Need

Over the past 20 years, Binc (Book Industry Charitable Foundation) has provided over $6 million in support to more than 7,000 booksellers and their families. What started as a way to support their colleagues during natural disasters evolved into a nation-wide non-profit helping all booksellers during times of need.

This holiday season, Ingram Publisher Services donated over $10,000 on behalf of their publishing clients, including those with Publishers Group West, Consortium, Perseus Distribution and Legato, to support Binc in their mission to ease troubling financial times for booksellers.

"Generous donations from our supporters, like Ingram Content Group, not only enable us to help those in need but also raises awareness that help exists," said Pamela French, Binc's executive director.

"It's important for us to support our peers not only during the holiday season, but year round," said Julia Cowlishaw, director of national accounts at Ingram Publisher Services. "We are impressed by the work Binc does to impact our community. It truly is a bookseller's safety net."
