DENVER (October 11, 2016) – The Library Corporation (TLC) is pleased to announce the availability of CARL.X v9.3 and CARL.Connect Discovery, formerly LS2 PAC for CARL.X, v3.2.
Notably, CARL.X v9.3 has added features that continue to improve customer service interactions between library staff and their communities. The ability for libraries to display a Notice History to their library users is now available to enrich the users' information and experience by removing questions and concerns that may arise about their own notifications. Additionally, options to create branch specific receipt templates have been added to CARL.X v9.3 to use in conjunction with CARL.Connect to further enhance that product's printing capabilities. The first phase of integration with Active Directory was also completed and has been put in place for CARL.X.
CARL.Connect Discovery v3.2 also boasts several new features aimed at further personalizing your library users' experience when using the mobile platform, and in keeping with TLC's focus on SocialLocalMobile (SoLoMo) expectations. The ability to brand your library's mobile search experience for inclusion in the Google Play Store is now available, with an option to add your app to the iTunes store being made available shortly. The new Mobile Search Results page now includes star ratings for materials, a clean, intuitive Search Result count, Title Details that include a book jacket display and the ability to email or text a link to that Title Detail. Mobile My Account features have also been enhanced in v3.2 to include Opt-In & Notifications services and access to Saved Lists, to name just a couple.
