Central Queensland University selects Ex Libris Alma and Primo to manage and deliver print, electronic, and digital resources

Adelaide, Australia—October 10, 2016. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that Central Queensland University (CQUniversity) has chosen the Ex Libris Alma library management platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution to support library services at the more than 20 university locations, which serve over 35,000 students. The solutions will replace Virtua from Innovative and EBSCO Discovery Service.

CQUniversity reached its decision following a comprehensive selection process during which everything from product functionality and development road maps to user communities and ROI were examined. CQUniversity sought a cloud-based system that delivered a streamlined user interface, flexible APIs, and support for e resource management.

Shaune Sinclair, Deputy Director of Learning Environments and Libraries at CQUniversity, explained, "The Alma and Primo solutions will offer us a platform that provides better access to resources for our students, academic staff, and researchers. In addition, the flexibility of the platform will enable us to quickly adapt our library services to meet the requirements of our very energetic and dynamic university. One of our priorities was to find a vendor whose products have healthy development road maps and who would partner with CQUniversity to meet our evolving needs. We found what we need in Ex Libris."

Ziv BenZvi, vice president of Ex Libris Asia Pacific, remarked, "We are delighted that CQUniversity has chosen Alma and Primo to serve the needs of the university's large student body and to support the library's innovative initiatives. We are pleased to welcome CQUniversity to the Ex Libris user community."
