PaILS - Spark ends 2015 with new additions

Duluth, Georgia–December 21, 2015. As we close out a busy 2015, Equinox would like to announce a few new libraries that migrated recently to Evergreen in Pennsylvania. Shenandoah Area Free Public Library in Shenandoah has joined the PaILS/SPARK Consortium along with Schuylkill Haven Free Public Library in Schuylkill Haven and Tamaqua Public Library in Tamaqua.

Shenandoah serves 2,025 patron with around 14,400 circulating items. Schuylkill Haven serves 5,624 patrons with almost 49,000 items. Lastly, Tamaqua boasts almost 36,000 items to serve its 7,655 patrons. There is a popular misconception that Evergreen is only useful for very large libraries and that simply isn't true. The truth is: Evergreen is highly scalable for any library. These smaller libraries will benefit from being part of the shared network of libraries that PaILS and SPARK have created.

Robert Sluzis, Director of the Shenandoah Area Free Public Library, had this to share about the recent migration: "Shenandoah's migration to SPARK went very well. We have all been preparing for months and were very pleased with the easy use of the system with its wide range of capabilities. All staff members went to different libraries to get hands on experience to prepare for our big day. All the support we received, and continue to receive from Erica, Galen, Mark and Mary helped us to transition smoothly. We are looking forward to exploring the system and using it for many years."
