Emeryville, CA -- SkyRiver, Innovative's cataloging utility product, is growing faster than ever and now tops 60 million full, unique records. The SkyRiver database grew by nine million records in 2015, which includes 3.5 million new records from the British Library. This rich metadata, known as the British National Bibliography, reflects the publishing activity of the UK and Ireland and includes print and electronic publications.
"SkyRiver has always offered the most convenient and cost-effective option for cataloging," says Executive Vice President Bill Schickling. "The addition of nine million records means that the ‘hit rate' for SkyRiver searches will be even higher, so libraries will have even more success in lowering costs and required staff time. The addition of the British Library records will allow libraries in the UK and Ireland to find the published editions that they need."
