Melbourne – 26 October 2015: Civica Library Solutions, a market leader in specialist software and outsourcing that help organisations to transform the way they work, is delighted to announce Fairfield City Council as a the latest Spydus10 customer in New South Wales. Fairfield has signed a five-year agreement to deliver Spydus10, Civica's latest web-based system comprising library management, personalised patron discovery, digital asset management and archival functionality.

Fairfeld's four libraries will go live on Spydus10 in February next year.

Fairfield City Open Libraries Program

Fairfield City Council strongly believes in the importance of education. Libraries, which open their doors freely to everyone in the community, provide an essential and core service that supports furthering education for the Fairfield Community. The Fairfield City Open Libraries Program is centred around the concept of a library service that is accessible 24/7. It will include a trial of extended opening hours of Cabramatta Library early next year, software solutions to support a service that make information digitally accessible anywhere and anytime, and other similar initiatives.
