March 10, 2015 -- Emeryville, CA. Innovative announced today that the University of Northampton has selected the Sierra Library Services Platform and will migrate from an Alto system provided by Capita Library Systems. The library contains over 700,000 items.
Says Chris Powis, Head of Library and Learning Services at University of Northampton: "The University is relocating to a brand new campus in 2018 and we believe that Sierra is the best platform to deliver a 21st-century service to our users."
"This selection reflects the flexibility and comprehensive functionality that our company can offer any academic library," says SVP of Global Sales Bill Schickling. "We see University of Northampton's selection as particularly significant because the library had been with its previous vendor for nearly 20 years. Academic libraries in the UK are turning to Innovative for the range of possibilities we can provide them as they develop their services in the decades to come."
