Duluth, GA January 7, 2015. Equinox is pleased to announce that Rockingham County Public Library and Harnett County Public Library have joined the growing NC Cardinal Consortium in North Carolina. This brings the total number of libraries in NC Cardinal to 103.
Rockingham County Public Library was the first to go live on November 20, 2014. The system includes six branches: Eden Library, Madison-Mayodan Public Library, Reidsville Library, Stoneville Library, Rockingham Headquarters, and Rockingham Outreach Bookmobile. A total of 280,000 items and 42,000 patrons were added to the shared NC Cardinal System.
Harnett County Public Library went live on December 18, 2014. This county system consists of seven branches: Anderson Creek Public Library, Anderson Creek Primary School, Angier Public Library, Coats Public Library, Dunn Public Library, and Erwin Public Library. Harnett County added over 200,000 items and more than 50,000 patrons to the NC Cardinal System. Harnett County borders on Cumberland County, another member of NC Cardinal.
