13 October 2014: Civica, a leader in specialist library solutions, and James Bennett, the leader in library supply, have partnered to further streamline the acquisitions process for Spydus customers via embedded ordering.
Sarah Cavanagh, Public Libraries Sales Manager for James Bennett said "The embedded ordering process is very simple and saves hours of work. Upon ordering, order tags are embedded in the MARC record and when uploaded into Spydus a Purchase Order is populated with the orders ready to be confirmed. We're hoping that all Spydus and James Bennett customers will take advantage of this work we have done."
Masterton District Library and Wairarapa Archive, New Zealand, were one of the first libraries to take advantage of embedded ordering. Sandy Green, Service Manager, said that she would recommend it to anyone as an easy to set up and useful process that saves considerable time. "We have very happy selection staff," she said.
Marc Nolan, Civica Library Solutions Managing Director said "This year our focus has been on building vendor partnerships that add value for our customers. James Bennett and Civica have many libraries in common so it made sense that we worked with them closely to enhance the services that we already offer."
Civica and James Bennett are exhibiting at the LIANZA 2014 conference which is currently in progress in Auckland, New Zealand. Customers wishing to find out more about embedded ordering should contact their Civica or James Bennett representative.
