ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and the U.S.' forefront provider of Koha support, is happy to welcome Todd Goatley who will be managing Western US and International Sales. Todd will join our expert team in bringing new partners to the Koha open source ILS.
Todd's love of open source software has early roots. Always an advocate of FOSS (free open source software) his passion lead him to the Washoe County Library where he was able to exercise his enthusiasm to its fullest. As lead for the R&D and change over from Symphony to Koha he was able to get the library on Koha in just a few short years. In his off time Todd enjoys biking, running, reading and working on computers testing different Linux OS's.
Todd commented on his decision to join the ByWater team: "Ultimately, ByWater was the reason we were able to make the easy decision in moving to Koha at my old library. ByWater's confidence in migration and support was exactly what was needed to make Koha the last ILS Washoe County Library would ever need. Koha is incredible with all that it has to offer and the financial savings were significant. It's always nice to have more money to put toward the collection and other library developments! This is why I'm happy to join the team at ByWater in bringing Koha to more libraries."
Nathan Curulla, ByWater's Co-Owner and Executive Vice President, commented on the newest addition to the ByWater family: "We are thrilled to have Todd on the ByWater team to spread our message to libraries both in the States and abroad. We are seeing a major increase in interest for Koha within Todd's territories and I know he is the perfect person to usher more libraries into the world of Koha and Open Source. His experience in libraries coupled with his enthusiasm for new technologies makes Todd the ideal first contact for any library looking to learn more about our products and services. Welcome aboard Todd!"
