The Butte-Silver Bow Public Library system executed its software upgrade in twenty-four hours allowing the library to improve the user interface and streamline hardware and software upgrades with the support of Catalyst.NET Limited in New Zealand, an open source support company that provides development for the community version of Koha originally developed in New Zealand. Catalyst assisted with the integration of the Ezproxy and SIP connections to EBSCO Discover-it and Overdrive e-content providing a seamless transition for library users. Catalyst worked in concert with Advanced Wireless Technology of Butte, MT and the technology staff at the library.
Butte-Silver Bow Public Library system contracted with ByWater Solutions to provide training and support for library staff in using and designing customization for the Koha 3.12 ILS with ByWater's VP of Education, Nicole Engard. The library staff also participated in training at the recent KohaCon conference in Reno NV in October 2013. They received hands on training and presentations that make this upgrade and future upgrades easier to implement.
