Press Release: Ingram Content Group [May 21, 2012]

Ingram adds Lerner Interactive Books to ipage

As more libraries look to expand e-book offerings to patrons, publishers like Lerner Publishing Group are choosing Ingram Content Group to supply e-books via Ingram's ipage search and order platform.

Public libraries will now have access to more than 200 interactive children's books from Lerner Digital through Ingram. Ordering through ipage allows libraries to select and purchase content on a title-by-title basis.

"As our children's e-book list continues to grow with more interactive titles, we are pleased to be working with Ingram to bring our digital content into a broad range of public libraries." said David Wexler, Lerner Publishing Group's Executive Vice President of Sales. "Through Ingram, libraries can easily purchase our digital content, and, in turn, provide more children the opportunity to improve reading skills and enjoy learning through interaction with e-books."

Lerner Interactive Books give emerging and struggling readers a digital companion for reading that allows them to interact with a book and see and hear it read to them while they actively read along. Lerner Interactive Books and Lerner eBooks on ipage are supported by iPublishCentral, a digital publishing platform developed by Impelsys, a fast-growing company that helps publishers deliver their content in all major e-book formats.

"To better serve the educational needs of young readers, libraries are adding more digital and interactive content," said Rich Rosy, Vice President and General Manager, Ingram Library Services. "We are excited to add Lerner Interactive Books to our growing list of interactive e-books on ipage and to be able to supply libraries with a flexible solution to immediately access this unique format."
