White Bear Lake, MN (February 20, 2012) - Tech Logic rings in the new year by announcing new hires and new products to support a high level of expected growth and innovation. With a strong history of dedicated systems development exclusively within the library industry, the company's overriding goal is to continue to offer and create products and services that promote efficiency, functionality, and convenience.
Gary Kirk, President of Tech Logic, stated, "Due to our continued success and growth, we are moving ahead with our five-year strategic plan of reorganization and hiring to better position us for Tech Logic's anticipated expansion. We are prepared for major increases in growth, and we're excited to continue to support our modern libraries with transformative products that streamline processes and meet both employee and patron needs."
Over the past few months, Tech Logic has restructured its executive leadership by promoting key stakeholders and recruiting outside talent. As part of the recent reconfiguration, Gary Kirk was named President, Jim Nelson was named Chief Operating Officer, Eileen Keehan was hired as the Vice President of Global Business Development, Mike Robertson assumed responsibility for all product development and is now Director of Technology, and Heidi Weippert was named Director of Customer Care.
Eileen Keehan, Vice President, Global Business Development, added, "Our focus in 2012 is to continue to drive growth through innovation, and we are strategically positioned to launch exciting new products that will invigorate and advance the library industry."
Tech Logic is also actively expanding their sales force, adding to their marketing team, and developing a dedicated call center to support new product launches, which includes the recently unveiled MediaSurfer.
MediaSurfer is a self-standing kiosk that allows library patrons to borrow hand-held tablets. By securely and automatically dispensing and recharging the tablets, as well as managing e-content and integrating with each library's ILS, MediaSurfer helps libraries meet their patrons' requests for more digital information options. Officially launched via the ALA Convention in Dallas, TX, January 20-23, Ms. Keehan notes that MediaSurfer generated a high level of interest and excitement among library representatives, and created a buzz that went beyond their expectations. "We knew we had something special, but the response in Dallas was extremely gratifying," she says.
Tech Logic and MediaSurfer will be represented at industry conferences and trade shows throughout the coming year, including the upcoming Public Library Association Conference, March 13-17, in Philadelphia, PA.
Founded in 1997, Tech Logic exclusively serves libraries with patented and patent-pending automated material handling systems which promote efficiency and patron self-service.
