University of Wollongong Debuts Online Archival Collections

Emeryville, CA. The University of Wollongong in New South Wales, Australia is now live with Content Pro, Innovative's digital collection management solution. Students, researchers, and the public now have online access to the digitized portions of the University's archival collections, which include the Cochrane Papua New Guinea Collection, Mount Kembla Colliery Disaster Collection, and Broken Hill Strikes Collection. These collections consist of handwritten letters, photographs, video and audio recordings, and printed materials that provide valuable historical information about the New South Wales region. Currently, the University has nine collections available online with plans to continue digitization efforts.

"Content Pro offered us the opportunity to support a digitization program with local storage of a variety of digital formats, all uploaded and made accessible through a user-friendly interface," says Michael Organ, Manager of Repository Services at the University Library. "Our primary aim was to enable the local community and researchers worldwide to access University of Wollongong archival collections."
