Relais International is pleased to announce that the University of California, Santa Cruz and the University of California, Riverside have selected and are implementing Relais Express. This brings the number of University of California libraries using Relais Express to seven libraries.
Relais Express is designed for easy scanning and delivery of documents to patrons and to other libraries. Library staff can convert paper documents to electronic format by scanning, or they can use existing electronic documents anywhere on their network for desktop delivery to their patrons and to other libraries. Delivery can be done via FTP to Ariel and Odyssey, and by Post to Web, Email attachment, or fax. When delivering documents via Post to Web and Email attachment, Relais Express supports the delivery of documents in any file format. Relais Express also receives electronic documents from institutions using Ariel and Odyssey.
Relais International Inc is based in Ottawa, Canada and has been selling systems to support resource sharing, interlibrary loan and document delivery services since 1996. Relais International (www.relais-intl.com) assists libraries in implementing intelligent and automated methods to support requesting through to delivery of documents.
