Emeryville, CA. The Peralta Community College District in Oakland, CA has recently selected the Millennium ILS to effectively manage their library resources and provide access to students throughout the San Francisco East Bay area in Northern California. The four community colleges in the district are: College of Alameda, Berkeley City College, Laney College, and Merritt College.
"The Peralta Libraries are very pleased to join a long and distinguished list of public and academic libraries that use Millennium in the Bay Area," says Evelyn Lord, Systems and Cataloging Librarian. "The new system will dramatically improve student access to electronic resources in our community college district, and the superior search interface will help our librarians teach information competency skills, a core component of our mission. With so many of our students transferring to Bay Area universities, they will appreciate the familiar look of the WebPAC interface when they arrive at their next educational destination."
Peralta Community College District is migrating to Millennium from a Horizon system.
