Relais International is pleased to announce that the University of Canberra (Australia) has selected the Relais ILL Hosted Service.
The Hosted Service is hosted by CAVAL Ltd in Australia. It will include the Relais Access web-based pages that allow library users to create and monitor their own ILL requests. Staff can use a new and enhanced web-based staff interface and the Relais windows staff client to process ILL requests. The system includes the fully integrated Relais Scanning Module on two workstations for seamless electronic delivery of items to patrons and to other libraries.
The library uses Innovative Interfaces Millennium integrated library system. Relais ILL will include a patron look up with the Millennium system to use patron information from the library's Millennium system.
Anita Crotty, University Librarian, says "We have been impressed by the successful outcomes for other Australian libraries implementing Relais. The software will add value to our existing systems by creating a more seamless experience for library users searching our licensed databases and then seeking content not held by the Library, and provide improvements with workflow management for Library staff."
Clare MacKeigan, COO of Relais International, says "We are extremely pleased to welcome the University of Canberra to our rapidly growing family of Australian customers."
The University of Canberra, situated in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), has approximately 13,500 students.
