Emeryville, CA. The Company announced today that information industry veteran, Michael Markwith, has joined SkyRiver as its first sales executive. "We're very pleased to have someone with Michael's breadth of experience joining our young company," states Leslie Straus, President of SkyRiver.
Most recently, Markwith held a senior sales position with W.T. Cox with responsibility for developing new products and for sales to the western region of the United States. Previous to this role, he was President of TDNet, Inc., responsible for establishing its U.S. office and overseeing its operations. Earlier career roles include sales and management positions with Swets, Faxon, and Blackwell North America. Markwith has been a steadfast contributor to the library community, having been an active participant in industry events as well as producing a portfolio of published articles. Markwith is currently the Co-Chair of the NASIG Conference Planning Committee.
Coming to SkyRiver, Markwith brings a wealth of experience in serving the library community. On joining SkyRiver, Markwith comments, "Having the opportunity to provide a quality service that saves libraries money at this time is particularly exciting to me."
