SirsiDynix Docutek ERes 5.3.04 released

PROVO, Utah, Jan. 29, 2008 – SirsiDynix, the global leader in strategic technology solutions for libraries, announced the release of SirsiDynix Docutek ERes 5.3.04. This market-leading product is the original stand-alone, Web-based electronic reserves system that libraries use to Web-enable their course reserves and offer students round-the-clock access to reserve material online. ERes 5.3.04 users will experience, among other enhancements, improved security that eliminates the possibility of bypassing password protection applied to documents stored in the program, cleaner interaction with SirsiDynix Unicorn and capabilities for uploading very large files.

Also important is ERes support of complete copyright workflow management, including a seamless electronic interface with the Copyright Clearance Center, intuitive document handling, a MARC record writer that allows easy integration with any OPAC and powerful functions for generating reports on system usage. ERes also offers DocuFax, SirsiDynix’s patented solution for moving paper-based documents directly to the Web using only a fax machine.
