PITTSBURGH, November 7, 2007 – SirsiDynix, the global leader in strategic technology solutions for libraries, and CODI, the international Horizon and Dynix users' group, opened the 18th annual CODI Conference today at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh. In addition to a welcome message from CODI leadership, the conference's opening session featured presentations by SirsiDynix executive management, detailed overviews of SirsiDynix Symphony and updates to SirsiDynix Horizon 7.4x and the announcement of a new partnership that will result in the development of SirsiDynix's next-generation search solutions.* Upon conclusion of the opening session, the hundreds of SirsiDynix users in attendance dispersed to explore hundreds of breakout sessions on myriad topics, visit an exhibition of 20-plus third-party companies whose products complement SirsiDynix solutions and attend other venues that afford attendees the opportunity to share and interact with each other and SirsiDynix staff members. The conference began today and concludes on the afternoon of Friday, November 9.
"There are no greater opportunities to learn about the world in which our customers operate than conferences like CODI," said Gary Rautenstrauch, SirsiDynix CEO. "From the opening session and throughout all our activities over the next three days, we will gain invaluable insights into our customers' priorities and plans for the future.
"My thanks to everyone involved in planning and participating in this year's conference…we've already gotten off to a great start," added Rautenstrauch.
