May 7, 2002 TDNet, the leading supplier of electronic journals management solutions, today announced the release of TDNet Application Version no. 9.
Many of the new features and changes, which have been introduced in the new version, have been selected based on input from TDNet customers. In addition, a prominent consideration in the development program was enhancing customers' administrative capabilities in terms of control over the look and feel of their own sites. Providing more administrative control to TDNet customers will stay at the top of our priority list towards the next version as well.
Some of the most important new features in the new version are:
- A quick search option, right at the top of the TDNet opening page
- Local administrators can add custom messages to journal titles, aggregators and publishers in TDNet (i.e. licensing information)
- Search the web for free articles retrieved in TDNet
- Personalization of the TDNet main page. Administrators now have almost complete control over the appearance of the TDNet homepage. This includes branding in terms of colors and images, adding their own buttons and links to the page, changing texts and languages, etc.
We are grateful to all our customers who took the trouble to forward suggestions and recommendations - it has been very helpful.
