TDNet Widens Service Options with New Alerting Features

July 30, 2000 TDNet, the leading supplier of electronic journals management solutions, today announced the release of a new and enhanced TDNet version, which includes free e-mail alerting throughout the organizational intranet network.

TDNet new version is designed to fortify library exposure within the organization, enlarge user base, expand usage and widen service options and scope.

TDNet is installed on local servers and open to all users within the purchasing organization.

The new TDNet release adds options to existing TDNet features:

  • The new PrivateZone feature enables defining a private interest profile on the organizational TDNet site. Within each PrivateZone, users can view and search their predefined list of titles.
  • They can also order an unlimited number of emailed lists of Table of Contents (TOCs). Table of contents of titles in each PrivateZone will automatically be emailed to users once they become available.
  • TDNet also enhanced its search capabilities by adding the new OneSearch feature. This enables using strings as search terms on all search fields at once.
  • The new version also displays a new and improved graphic interface, including framed tables.
