TDnet Was Officially Launched at the 66th IFLA General Conference

August 30, 2000 TDnet, the leading supplier of electronic journals management solutions, officially launched the system at the annual IFLA conference held in Jerusalem on August 13-18 2000.

TDnet development started at the beginning of 1998, and todate has some 20 installations and several pilots and beta installations at major university and corporate sites.

A private reception party was drawn during the IFLA Conference, attended by TDnet customers, management & board members, representatives from LandMark and Delta-Ventures capital investment funds, suppliers and many other invited guests. Following the official announcement, the current enhanced TDnet management system has been demonstrated. The event proved to be a great success, especially in view of the enthusiastic responses and the considerable amount of interest the service concept and features have aroused.

TDnet was available for public demonstrations during the IFLA Conference at a stand adjacent to it's mother company Teldan Information Systems Ltd. It attracted a considerable amount of attention and many new leads.

TDnet activities during the IFLA conference also included demonstrations to group library tours at the National Medical Library in Jerusalem and at the Haifa University in the North of Israel, and to a Pre_conference 3-days seminar dedicated to the subject of marketing library services. TDnet was invited to the seminar due to it's unique development concept and many features designed to position the library and the information center as the virtual "gateway" to electronic resources.
