TDNet Announces North American Office; Appoints Michael Markwith as President

February 2, 2001 (for immediate relaese). TDNet, the leading supplier of electronic journals management solutions, announced it would establish a North American office in the Philadelphia area in early March. Michael Markwith has been appointed President of TDNet U.S.A.

Asher Sofrin, founder and CEO of TDNet, stated "We are very enthusiastic about having a strong presence in the US and Canadian market. Markwith, with 33 years experience in the library information business, was most recently Vice President, Sales at Swets Blackwell. He was CEO of Swets & Zeitlinger, Inc. (North America) 1995 - 1999 and has held various sales and leadership positions with Faxon, Blackwell North America, and Richard Abel Company. Markwith is active in ALA and NASIG (North American Serials Interest Group) and serves on the Editorial Board of the Newsletter on Serials Pricing Issues, the International Advisory Board of LOGOS, and the Board of Visitors for the School of Information and Library Science University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
