27/04/2007 -- Vubis Smart Release 2.4.2 will be available for general release in the beginning of May, 2007. Included in version 2.4.2 is an entirely revamped Serials Module, which offers libraries new workflow functionality and tools to manage the subscription, prediction, receiving, routing and claiming of periodicals. Along with the new Serials Module, Vubis Smart now also integrates complete support for the Marc21 format for Holdings (Marc21/H) and the U.S. date format.

With version 2.4.2, all Vubis Smart systems will also be integrated in one single version. In the last few years, the Dutch and Danish libraries for the visually impaired utilized specific versions of the software, which were geared towards serving the libraries' target audiences. Going forward, these versions now employ the same code, while the software incorporates unique options for these libraries through new parameters and licenses.
