Six public libraries in the midwestern United States choose SirsiDynix Horizon

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., May 11, 2006 - SirsiDynix, the global leader in strategic technology solutions for libraries, announced today recent sales of the SirsiDynix Horizon Library Management System to six public libraries in the Midwestern United States:

  • BCLIC (Bi County Library Collection), Barron and Rusk counties, Rice Lake, Wis.
  • Blanchester (Ohio) Public Library
  • <
  • Cape Girardeau (Mo.) Public Library
  • East Central Regional Library, Cambridge, Minn.
  • Farmington Community Library, Farmington Hills, Mich.
  • Tipton County Public Library, Tipton, Ind.

Along with their Horizon systems, BCLIC, Blanchester Public Library and Farmington Community Library also selected the SirsiDynix Web Reporter reporting solution. Cape Girardeau Public Library purchased SirsiDynix enriched content for its library catalog. East Central Regional Library and Tipton County Public Library selected both enriched content and Web Reporter.

"We are looking forward to upgrading to Horizon because it will be easier for our patrons to use and access from their homes, as well as the wealth of easily readable information it will provide," said Betty Martin, director of the Cape Girardeau Public Library.

Marsha Erickson, director of Blanchester Public Library, said, "We are very excited about the enriched content. Our patrons will be able to view summaries, reviews and which books are in different series."
