SirsiDynix Corinthian selected by Valley Forge Christian College

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 18, 2006 - SirsiDynix, the global leader in strategic technology solutions for libraries, announced today that Valley Forge Christian College (VFCC) in Pennsylvania has chosen the SirsiDynix Corinthian Library Management System. Corinthian is an entirely new integrated library system developed especially for academic and research libraries.

"The SirsiDynix software will allow us to serve our users in several new ways," said Paul Mathias, director of library services at VFCC. "We'll be able to improve the integration of many items that are important to an academic library, such as serials and our reserves collection. These, and many other features, will be significantly upgraded with our move to Corinthian. The state-of-the-art Web interface will be a huge improvement for our users; once we integrate our electronic resources into the online public access catalog, we'll be able to offer 'one-stop shopping' for resources. In addition, our library staff will now find it very easy to move from one system module to another."

Steven Nielsen, SirsiDynix vice president of product management, said, "Valley Forge Christian College is on the forefront of adopting the most advanced library solution designed specifically for academic and research libraries. With unmatched levels of integration, flexibility and security in library technology, SirsiDynix Corinthian enables libraries to seamlessly integrate their library systems with other campus technologies for an extremely unified user experience. At SirsiDynix, we aim to support academic and research libraries by offering strategic technology solutions like Corinthian that strengthen their role as information technology and knowledge management leaders."

In addition to Corinthian, VFCC has selected SirsiDynix Web Reporter reporting solution, as well as enriched content that allows users to view tables of contents, book reviews, book jacket images and synopses.
