INWOOD, WV, January 11, 2006 – In little more than a month, ten new name libraries have contracted with TLC to purchase Library.Solution as their ILS.
The latest libraries signing on include: West Baton Rouge Parish Library, LA (GIS); Bucyrus Public Library, OH (Dynix); Pulaski County Library System, VA (Sagebrush); Wheeler Basin Regional Library, AL (Innovative Interfaces, Inc.); Conde Nast Publications Library, NY (New Automation); Harrison Public Library, NJ (CASPR); Carnegie Public Library, MS (Dynix); Yazoo Library Association, MS (Dynix); Marshall Public Schools, MI (Dynix); and Shelby County Library District, KY (GIS).
Gar Sydnor, TLC's Vice President of Sales, commented: "We are pleased that these libraries have selected Library.Solution for their new integrated library system. We attribute the success of Library.Solution to the system's strong reputation in the marketplace as well as to our new ILS neutral products. Libraries that are satisfied with their existing ILS are able to improve their patron and staff experience with TLC's ILS neutral products, including AquaBrowser Library, Online Selection and Acquisitions, and AuthorityWorks."
Sydnor continued, "By implementing AquaBrowser, patrons can experience more intelligent and successful searching in the library catalog. Library staff can also improve catalog searches by utilizing real-time authority control with AuthorityWorks. Finally, the Online Selection and Acquisitions product can streamline collection development and fund accounting. Improving library staff and patron experiences at the library, regardless of the ILS in use, is a fundamental part of TLC's mission to better serve libraries."
Over 670 library systems have chosen TLC's Library.Solution, representing over 3,300 library locations worldwide.
