Tennessee Board of Regents selects AGent Portal

POMONA, CA. - November 2, 2004- Auto-Graphics, Inc. (OTCBB: AUGR.PK) is proud to announce that the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) signed an agreement to implement AGent Portal in 15 of its participating academic libraries via the Company's ASP hosted service. These TBR sites include 13 community colleges and 2 university libraries in Tennessee that have united with the common purpose of providing their students and staff with a federated search tool.

Students and staff of participating libraries will now be able to simultaneously search each college's local ILS system, subscription databases, and the Tennessee State Library and Archives (TSLA) databases and serials. With TSLA, academics can now broaden their searches to include resources accessed by over 350 public libraries in Tennessee.

Participating TBR libraries include:

Austin Peay State University, Tennessee Technological University, Chattanooga State Technical Community College, Cleveland State Community College, Columbia State Community College, Dyersburg State Community College, Jackson State Community College, Motlow State Community College, Nashville State Technical Community College, Northeast State Technical Community College, Pellissippi State Technical Community College, Roane State Community College, Southwest Tennessee Community College, Volunteer State Community College, and Walters State Community College.

AGent Portal allows users to simultaneously search a wide variety of disparate databases such as full-text repositories, the Web, local bibliographic catalogs, and private resources through a single search interface. Search results are viewed in their native screen formats to ensure copyright compliance and full access to the database content. Other AGent modules include Authentication, Resource-Sharing (ILL), Cataloging, Statistics, and Verso Library Automation (ILS).

"TBR libraries have come together to increase the availability of both academic and public resources for their students. AGent Portal offers student-friendly, yet powerful single search capabilities," commented Jack Stacy, Bibliographic Services Coordinator at the Tennessee State Library and Archives (TSLA).

"We're thrilled that TBR has chosen AGent Portal for its ability to seamlessly serve the needs of its participating academic libraries. AGent Portal is a sophisticated searching tool that is more than capable of handling the needs of TBR and other academic libraries," stated Albert Flores, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Auto-Graphics. "TBR substantiates Auto-Graphics' entry into the academic marketplace."
