INWOOD, WV- October 20, 2004 - The Library Corporation (TLC) has released the next version of the Online Selection Assistant, a collection development and acquisitions tool that manages the entire process from ordering through invoicing.
TLC has renamed the new version (2.0) Online Selection & Acquisitions to better reflect its full fund accounting ability and enhanced electronic ordering functionality. In the last two years, TLC has developed the vendor-neutral product into a complete selection and acquisitions package for all library types.
Some of the latest developments of Online Selection & Acquisitions include: enhanced processing of returned items, cancelled items, and claimed items; a more detailed display of the format and publication date; and increased batch options to make the selection and ordering process faster.
Another development for TLC automation users accessing Online Selection & Acquisitions is the ability to see the number of holds, copies owned, and copies missing as they are searching.
All Online Selection & Acquisitions users benefit with reviews from Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, School Library Journal, ALA's CHOICE Magazine, and ALA's Booklist to make the selection process even more successful.
