ResourceMate Smashes 3000 Registered User Mark

GUELPH, Ontario Sept. 9, 2004 - 3000 small- to medium-sized libraries worldwide are now registered users of ResourceMate library automation software.

The Evergreen Community Charter School of Asheville, North Carolina became the 3000th ResourceMate® user to register, and in sharing the company's success they receive one free year of technical support and updates.

“Registrations are a key element of our company's success,” says Brian Watson, president of Jaywil Software. “They're a great tool in communicating with our customers, which helps us tailor our customer service, marketing and even future products to their needs. If our customers didn't register, we wouldn't be able to identify with our users as well as we do.”

This philosophy is exemplified by the fact that every registered ResourceMate® user receives three months of free support. The incentive has helped ResourceMate smash its previous record by getting 1000 registrations in just 15 months - a full 3 months better than their last record.

2004 has been a tremendous year of growth for ResourceMate®. The spring saw ResourceMate have its best sales month ever, and over the summer people are taking advantage of the benefit of registering their product. This year's registration numbers have consistently matched or surpassed their year-over-year numbers.

This summer has also been excellent for churches and schools as they prepare for the upcoming year. 71% of recent registrations have come from these two groups. ResourceMate® distributors are also important contributors to reaching the 3000 mark. Many companies reselling ResourceMate® products are finding 2004 to be a banner year.

“When I wrote ResourceMate for my wife's library ten years ago I realized that a product with many features and the right price would help a lot of people?I'm delighted to say it has.” says Watson.

Also in 2004, Jaywil software has added more services and products to help encompass the entire automation process to ensure libraries that purchase ResourceMate® can also purchase products that are guaranteed to work with the software. Bar code labels and scanners, and Network Search Screens have proved quite popular lately.

On top of this, ResourceMate® is expanding by adding Patron Bar Code Cards to its line of products and Live Chat with Remote Assistance to its already popular Technical Support service.
