HUNTSVILLE, Ala.-May 4, 2004-Sirsi Corporation, celebrating 25 years of delivering technology "firsts" to the library community, announced today that industry veteran Marsha Stark has joined the company as vice president of sales for North America. "Marsha's experience within the library market coupled with her technology experience from her time with major high-tech companies will be very valuable to Sirsi, as we expand the scope of our products, services, and alliances," said Patrick Sommers, Sirsi's chief executive officer. "Marsha is an experienced sales professional with direct, indirect, and new account development expertise."
Stark has a solid and extensive background in sales and sales management, most recently with the Avnet Corporation. She also served as vice president of worldwide sales with Innovative Interfaces Inc., as a global account manager with Sun Microsystems, and as a sales executive with Digital Equipment Corporation.
Stark will work from Sirsi's offices in Huntsville.
