The partnership will improve Sirsi users' workflow in the acquisitions and cataloging processes by integrating Sirsi's Unicorn® Library Management System with Baker & Taylor through Sirsi 9XX Loader and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). Librarians can now access Baker & Taylor Web site, order materials, and download bibliographic records in one simple step - then upload the data into Unicorn. "The Sirsi 9XX Loader eliminates thousands of keystrokes and helps ensure data integrity for both acquisitions and cataloging librarians," said Sirsi's Berit Nelson, vice president of product management.
