(Carlsbad, CA - January 6, 2004) Market leader EOS International today announces that the Military Library at SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe) in Mons, Belgium have recently added two EOS WebOPAC systems to their existing EOS solution, which has also been significantly upgraded.
SHAPE is the headquarters of Allied Command Europe, one of NATO's two major commands.
"Access to information is a critical management function. This implementation will give SHAPE personnel greater access to the Military Library data, with the added convenience of being able to search from their desktops, irrespective of the network used. We are delighted to be able to help make information more accessible in this way," commented Bernard Hunt, EOS International UK Account Manager, who was on site with SHAPE Information Technology & Library Personnel.
The customizable EOS WebOPAC is now available on two separate networks, enabling SHAPE personnel to access library data from their desktops, and enhancing library access and services. EOS WebOPAC's point-and-click user interface enables Internet patrons to easily browse a library's catalog and offers a number of browsable indexes including: Subject, Title, Author, Series, Subject and Title Keywords, as well as other useful terms.
