Press Release: The Library Corporation [May 05, 2003]

TLC partners with EnvisionWare, Inc. to offer libraries additional solutions

INWOOD, WV, June 5, 2003 —The Library Corporation (TLC) has partnered with EnvisionWare, Inc., a leading company that creates management programs for printing, desktop menuing, and time and access management for public PC's.

With the new partnership, TLC will sell EnvisionWare's LPT: One, Launch Command, and PC Reservation, all products that make the librarian's job easier.

LPT:One is a scalable, server-independent print management software created for cost control and waste reduction. LPT:One works by quickly intercepting print jobs, counting pages, and calculating print costs for the user. By doing so, it enables users to review the number of pages about to be printed and evaluate the print job's cost. LPT:One includes security features and works in stand-alone or networked environments with a variety of optional payment systems.

Launch Command is a centrally managed system that creates unlimited customizable menus that can serve as desktop access to Web sites and applications. It's easy, fast, and intuitive, with a customizable look. Launch Command also provides extensive reporting on use by PC, user ID, and application. As the next generation of desktop menuing systems, Launch Command will replace TLC's current menuing system, Everbody's MenuBuilder.

PC Reservation controls access, sign-up, and time on public PC's. It stands alone or links to the library's automation system. PC Reservation is popular with public and school libraries, and was actually designed by librarians.

“We're very excited about the development of this partnership that is built on years of collaboration with The Library Corporation,” Mike Monk, Vice-President of EnvisionWare Inc., recently said.

TLC customers that use EnvisionWare products include: Phoenix Public Library, AZ; Terrebonne Parish Library, LA; Braswell Memorial Library, NC; and Portsmouth Public Library, OH.

EnvisionWare, Inc. is headquartered in Lawrenceville, Georgia. EnvisionWare's software products are designed by librarians, educators, attorneys, and business people. Those products are: LPT:One; Launch Command; PC Reservation; and Web site a la Carte, a turnkey Web site creation product.
