University of Iowa selects the tool they値l use to handle their digital assets - DigiTool from Ex Libris

December 16, 2002 Chicago. Ex Libris (USA) announced today that the University of Iowa selected DigiTool to complement their selection of ALEPH, MetaLib and SFX for supporting their long-term digital asset management plan. The University Library looked at the options, and while understanding that all Ex Libris products are designed to work with other vendors products the Library decided to select DigiTool from Ex Libris.

"The University of Iowa is excited about implementing DigiTool said Larry Woods, Director of Information Technology and Branch Libraries, We have been looking for two years for software to better handle images and their metadata. The DigiTool software did a better job of meeting our requirements than anything else we found in the marketplace. It's integration with the other Ex Libris software such as Aleph500, SFX and MetaLib was an added benefit."
