(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the Cantonal and University Library of Lausanne (Bibliothèque cantonale et universitaire – BCU Lausanne) has chosen the Alma library management service and Primo unified resource discovery and delivery solution to create a dynamic library network covering the whole canton of Vaud. Alma will replace BCU Lausanne’s existing VTLS Virtua library system.

Innovative announced today that libraries on the Arabian Peninsula have selected the vtls-Virtua ILS and the vtls-Chamo discovery tool: Emirates Aviation University (EAU) [UAE] and the Cultural Affairs Office (CAO) of Diwan of Royal Court [Oman]. The new contracts were completed through Edutech, a leading provider of learning solutions and services for academic institutions, companies, and governments. EAU will migrate from an Alice™ system provided by Softlink, while CAO Library is implementing its first ILS system.

Kansas City Public Library’s Civil War on the Western Border website, developed in collaboration with VTLS Inc., won the 2014 Award for Excellence in Public History from the Society of Civil War Historians. The $5,000 award recognizes the Civil War on the Western Border website as an outstanding public history project that improves public awareness and understanding of the Civil War era.

(VTLS, Inc.) VTLS added multiple features to the latest version of its MozGo mobile app for libraries, with an emphasis on third-party service integration. MozGo now includes integration with Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, OverDrive and 3M Cloud Library.
