(Virginia Tech University) Representatives from the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Virginia Commonwealth University, George Mason University, Old Dominion University, William and Mary, and James Madison University will soon be in contract negotiations with Elsevier, the largest science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) scholarly publisher. Working as a group, they will be discussing the unsustainable cost of accessing Elsevier's academic journals and options to make their public universities' research more accessible to the public that paid for it.

(University of Texas) The University of Texas System has joined the Texas Library Coalition for United Action (TLCUA) to rethink how university libraries collectively can improve access to faculty research and to push for changes to the costly subscription models offered by publishers of academic journals. A total of 41 institutions in Texas have now joined the Coalition including the 14 UT institutions making it the largest and most diverse consortia of its kind and giving it significant negotiating power.

(Springshare) Springshare announced Pickup Manager - a new LibApps tool designed to help libraries improve workflows around the pickup of library holds. The Pickup Manager combines Springhare's scheduling and communication features and fully integrates them with the integrated library systems holds functionality. The end result is an affordable and user-friendly pickup management platform.

(Patron Point) Patron Point announced that Cedarburg Public Library (WI) has selected its patron relationship management system to support the Library's marketing efforts. Of particular interest to the Library was Patron Point's ability to move the Library's email program beyond monthly newsletters.

(OCLC) CapiraCurbside, a web based, mobile friendly platform curbside library reservation platform, will help facilitate the reopening at 50 locations of the Los Angeles Public Library. LAPL is among the latest libraries to sign on to use the curbside platform. Since its launch on June 1, CapiraCurbside has added over 300 individual library customers, with more than 250,000 reservations created in its first two months of operation.

(Ontario College Libraries) College Libraries Ontario (CLO) and the Ontario Colleges Library Service (OCLS) are pleased to announce the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking a new Library Management System for 19 Ontario college libraries as part of their Collaborative Library Services Platform (CLSP) Project. The RFP was released by OCLS on behalf of the 19 Ontario colleges participating in this initiative, using the Cambrian College Public Purchasing Portal. Please note that all questions and enquiries regarding this opportunity should be routed through this portal.

(ByWater Solutions) ByWater Solutions announced that NHAIS (New Hampshire Automated Information System) has added Weeks Memorial Library to its New Hampshire Union Public Access Catalog. They will be using Koha for their ILS.

(Equinox) Equinox announced the successful migration of the Saint Peter School District to Evergreen ILS as part of the Traverse de Sioux Library Cooperative in Mankato, Minnesota.

(ByWater Solutions) ByWater Solutions announced that NHAIS (New Hampshire Automated Information System) has added Stowell Free Library to its New Hampshire Union Public Access Catalog. They will be using Koha for their ILS.

(Innovative Interfaces, Inc.) Innovative, a ProQuest company and leading global provider of library software, announced today that the Colorado State Library is merging SWIFT, a statewide resource sharing initiative, into the Prospector INN-Reach system managed by the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries. The project will add approximately 150 libraries to Prospector, creating a state-wide resource sharing network for Colorado libraries.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris, a ProQuest company,announced that the Consorci de Serveis Universitaris de Catalunya (CSUC) (Consortium of University Services in Catalonia) has selected the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution to promote excellence in teaching, learning, and research and to facilitate the implementation of blended and virtual learning. CSUC serves 10 universities as well as the National Library of Catalonia (BC) and is integrated with the University Union Catalogue of Catalonia (CCUC).

(PTFS Europe) The Royal Academy of Music has chosen Koha as its new library management system to replace the previous SirsiDynix Symphony solution. PTFS Europe is implementing the new system and will provide on-going hosting and support services.
