Este nuevo repositorio abierto creado con AbsysNet permite la integración con distintos recolectores gracias al protocolo de comunicaciones OAI-PMH. Su objetivo es dotar de mayor visibilidad a los trabajos de la comunidad universitaria.

(ByWater Solutions) ByWater Solutions announced that the North Palm Beach Public Library, in Florida is now live on Koha with ByWater Solutions! ByWater completed the transition of the library’s 50,000 plus holdings from Symphony and is providing ongoing support services to the library.

(ByWater Solutions) ByWater Solutions, an open source community contributor and Canada’s forefront provider of Koha support, announced that the Scugog Public Library, in Ontario, Canada is now live on Koha with ByWater Solutions! ByWater completed the transition of the library’s 45,000 plus holdings from VTLS and is providing ongoing support services to the library.

(Innovative Interfaces, Inc.) Innovative Interfaces announced that during the first half of 2019, several libraries selected or implemented Innovative solutions as their Integrated Library System, including San Diego Public Library, Indianapolis Public Library, and Fairfax County Public Library.

(ByWater Solutions) ByWater Solutions announced that La Posada at Park Center Library in Green Valley, Arizona is now live on Koha! ByWater completed the automation of their new Koha ILS and is providing ongoing support services to the library.

(Equinox) Equinox is accepting applications for the Equinox Open Source Grant. Successful applicants will receive hosting and support for Koha, the first open source Integrated Library System to be used worldwide.

August 22, 2019

(The Library Corporation) TLC recently released updates to CARL.Connect Staff in version 1.6 that enhance the User Overview function. Check-in and check-out capabilities were improved to provide library staff with the ability to view outstanding transactions on a user’s account without having to navigate to account specific interfaces. The new User Overview feature is accessed during check-in or check-out with one-click hyperlinks and cuts out time-consuming steps that traditionally could bottleneck the process for librarians.

(The Library Corporation) The Library Corporation announced that Berkeley Public Library in California migrated to the CARL•X integrated library system, taking advantage of the fully hosted service model that TLC offers to customers.

August 21, 2019

(Equinox) Equinox announced the successful migration of Carleton University’s Audio Visual Collection to Koha, the first open source Integrated Library System to be used worldwide. Their migration involved 14,633 bibliographic records and 134 patrons at the college. Equinox provided implementation and data services in addition to Koha support, hosting, and auxiliary services.

(ByWater Solutions) ByWater Solutions announced that KanShare in Derby, Kansas is now live on Koha! KanShare is a consortium comprised of Derby Public Library, Park City Public Library and Andover Public Library.

(Lyngsoe Systems) Lyngsoe Systems announced that Liverpool University Library has become the first UK institution and the first institution outside Scandinavia to opt for Lyngsoe Systems Intelligent Material Management System. The University Library will integrate IMMS with their Sierra Library Management System from Innovative Interfaces Inc.

(ByWater Solutions) ByWater Solutions, an open source community contributor and America’s forefront provider of Koha support, announced today that Colorado College Charles L. Tutt Library, in Colorado Springs, Colorado is now live on Koha! ByWater completed the transition of the library’s 1,100,000 plus holdings from Millennium ILS and is providing ongoing support services to the library.

(Koios) Koios, the company that helps libraries show up first in Google results, has officially expanded its business into Canada. It made its debut in Toronto at Collision, “the fastest-growing tech conference in North America”. To serve the Canadian marketplace, Koios has welcomed Beatrice Pitocco as National Sales Manager. Pitocco’s experience in sales with libraries and digital marketing stretches back to 2004, when she served as the Eastern Canada Sales Executive for EBSCO. Later, she was a Sales Manager for Canada for Innovative Interfaces, Inc., working her way up to National Sales Manager during her 3-year tenure at III.
