(The Library Corporation) The Library Corporation announced that Berkeley Public Library in California migrated to the CARL•X integrated library system, taking advantage of the fully hosted service model that TLC offers to customers.

(Lyngsoe Systems) Lyngsoe Systems announced that Liverpool University Library has become the first UK institution and the first institution outside Scandinavia to opt for Lyngsoe Systems Intelligent Material Management System. The University Library will integrate IMMS with their Sierra Library Management System from Innovative Interfaces Inc.

(Koios) Koios, the company that helps libraries show up first in Google results, has officially expanded its business into Canada. It made its debut in Toronto at Collision, “the fastest-growing tech conference in North America”. To serve the Canadian marketplace, Koios has welcomed Beatrice Pitocco as National Sales Manager. Pitocco’s experience in sales with libraries and digital marketing stretches back to 2004, when she served as the Eastern Canada Sales Executive for EBSCO. Later, she was a Sales Manager for Canada for Innovative Interfaces, Inc., working her way up to National Sales Manager during her 3-year tenure at III.

Innovative, a leading provider of library software, today announced its board of directors has appointed Shaheen Javadizadeh as chief executive officer, effective immediately. Jim Tallman is appointed to the role of executive chairman. Javadizadeh has been with Innovative for three years and previously served as the executive vice president of global sales and marketing.

The new Inspire platform is state-of-the-art and delivers library experiences that are designed to meet people’s expectations of modern media and software solutions. Inspire Discovery, the first module to debut on the platform, becomes the most advanced Discovery research tool in the market. At the root of the technology, Inspire Discovery takes valuable library data and transforms it to deliver contextually relevant information, displaying results in an intuitive visual interface. Other market solutions utilize list-based relevancy search technology that does not provide students, faculty and researchers the ability to “see” relationships between authors, concepts and resources.

Our staff has been re-organized into smaller, cross-functional teams of librarians and technical staff that share ownership of the libraries in one of five geographically-based regions. The regional team members are working together, and with a new Level 3 expert team, to broaden the product understanding of each team member as Innovative prepares to launch a series of new products, starting with Discovery.

(HGGC) HGGC, a leading technology-focused private equity firm, today announced that Dyal Capital Partners, a division of Neuberger Berman, has acquired a passive non-voting minority stake in the firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

(Onit) Onit, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise workflow solutions including enterprise legal management, contract management and operational business process automation, today announced that it appointed Chris Fields as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Co-founder Eric Smith previously held this role and will now transition to the role of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Security Officer. This new addition adds another industry veteran from the legal technology space to the company’s executive management team.

Innovative Interfaces announced the company Landskerfi bókasafna hf., Consortium of Icelandic Libraries, selected the Innovative next-generation integrated library system (ILS) solution to support up to 300 library members in the Icelandic nationwide consortium. The selection is the result of an invitation to tender issued by CIL in the European Economic Area.
