(ProQuest) As Californians begin a school year like no other, access to authoritative databases for teaching and learning is critical. Through the California K-12 Online Content Project, managed by the California State Library, all public school districts and charter schools in the state get unlimited access to a wealth of ProQuest and other resources for the duration of the 2020-21 school year. These resources – made available since 2018 through schools – will also now be available through public libraries across the state.
(ORCID) ORCID announced the appointment of Chris Shillum as its new Executive Director. Shillum follows ORCID's founding Executive Director, Dr. Laurel Haak, who left the organization in June to direct her energy and skills to establishing her company, Mighty Red Barn, that supports start-ups in building information-sharing tools and platforms. ORCID selected Shillum after an extensive global search led by Perrett Laver and a team of ORCID Board members. ORCID Board Chair Linda O'Brien coordinated the search.

(Equinox) Equinox announced the successful migration of the Saint Peter School District to Evergreen ILS as part of the Traverse de Sioux Library Cooperative in Mankato, Minnesota.

(EBSCO Information Services) EBSCO Information Services has partnered with NoodleTools, a research management platform that allows students to export citations with ease. The partnership integrates NoodleTools with EBSCOhost, EBSCO Discovery Service and Explora for mutual customers. NoodleTools is a secure online research management platform that helps students organize their sources, build accurate citations, take notes, outline topics and prepare to write. NoodleTools allows students to create personal accounts, and now they can export MLA, APA, and Chicago/Turabian citations from any EBSCO search interface and save them to their accounts.

ByWater completed the transition of the library's 882,000 plus holdings from Sierra ILS and is providing ongoing support services to the library.

(TIND) TIND announced that another law library will join Columbia and Berkeley Law schools in migrating to the TIND ILS. The Supreme Court Library Queensland will migrate from Millennium, by Innovative Interfaces, to a combined TIND ILS and TIND DA instance.

(OCLC) OCLC and the Center for Research Libraries have completed a two-year project that has added support for the registration of serial retention commitments in OCLC's WorldCat database, improved discovery of shared print data, and enhanced CRL's Print Archives Preservation Registry (PAPR). The expanded functionality is a significant step forward in collectively managing the preservation of the scholarly record for future generations.
