Interleaf Technology Interleaf Technology are delighted to announce version 2.0 of their SIP2Surf Wi-Fi solution, with support for Innovative Patron API. Interleaf Technology, announces that their Wi-Fi solution SIP2Surf is upgraded to version 2.0. SIP2Surf is a Wi-Fi solution specially designed for libraries. With built in SIP2 support, SIP2Surf will authenticate library Wi-Fi users against all SIP2 compliant Library Management Systems. This latest version of SIP2Surf extends user authentication to Patron API from Innovative. Libraries can now authenticate users to a more granular level with Patron API. Libraries can implement rules to allow/deny Wi-Fi use based on patron type, expiration date, date of birth, and even ban individual users. [Full Announcement].

Interleaf Technology Waterford City and County Library Services Merge. Continuing the reorganisation of Local Government in Ireland, Waterford City Council and Waterford County Councils merged into a single entity in May 2014 to form Waterford City and County Council. As part of this process many IT services need to be merged. The merged library system went live after the Local Elections in late May 2014 [Full Announcement].

As part of a plan to create a new Cathedral library, Christ Church Cathedral is embarking on a project to automate their catalogue for the first time. Interleaf Technology Limerick City and County Library Services merge. As part of a reorganisation of Local Government in Ireland, Limerick City Council and Limerick County Council are merging into a single entity in mid-2014 to form Limerick City and County Council. As part of this process many IT services need to be merged. As an increasing number Irish Public Libraries use the OverDrive platform to deliver eBooks and eAudio Books to their borrowers (currently 34% of the population have access to this service), Interleaf Technology have partnered with ePubDirect to ensure that libraries are aware of newly-available Irish titles. Interleaf Technology, distributor for Envisionware in EMEA, announces that Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, UK, have successfully gone live with PC Reservation booking system in their VMware VDI environment. With 12 library branches and more than 130 clients the PC Reservation system provides a comprehensive PC booking management solution.
