(Index Data) The Duke University Libraries (Duke) has selected Index Data as its implementation and hosting partner for its adoption of the FOLIO Library Services Platform, planned for Summer 2020. Duke plans to initially implement ERM functionality in FOLIO to be followed in 2021 with a full implementation.

(Yewno) Health Education England is funding an innovative pilot project to explore the potential of artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve knowledge discovery for NHS staff. HEE is working with Yewno and Ken Chad Consulting to implement Yewno Discover, an advanced AI research solution.

(University of California) The University of California (UC) Libraries have selected the Ex Libris Alma and Primo services to deploy the Systemwide Integrated Library System (SILS). The Council of University Librarians (CoUL) made this decision following the SILS Request for Proposal and careful consideration of the libraries’ goals and requirements for a shared solution. We have reached this important project milestone thanks to the hard work and expertise of many; phase 3 involved over sixty project cohort members and extensive, systemwide consultation and review.

Following Croydon Council’s successful go live, Hounslow has now called off the London Libraries Consortium framework, increasing the total number of authorities to 18. (Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the University of Michigan Library has selected the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution to provide innovative services to the school’s diverse constituents. The University of Michigan Library is one of the largest research libraries in the United States, with almost 13 million volumes, 137,000 current serials, and more than 4.2 million annual visits. This scale and the library’s rapid growth rate were key business drivers for the strategic move to modern, cloud-based computing standards and capabilities, including multitenant software as a service (SaaS), and the selection of the Alma platform. Michigan has been a power user of the Ex Libris Aleph library management system for more than 15 years.
