(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the University of Michigan Library has selected the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution to provide innovative services to the school’s diverse constituents. The University of Michigan Library is one of the largest research libraries in the United States, with almost 13 million volumes, 137,000 current serials, and more than 4.2 million annual visits. This scale and the library’s rapid growth rate were key business drivers for the strategic move to modern, cloud-based computing standards and capabilities, including multitenant software as a service (SaaS), and the selection of the Alma platform. Michigan has been a power user of the Ex Libris Aleph® library management system for more than 15 years.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that Israel’s Weizmann Institute of Science has selected the Ex Libris Esploro research services solution to help the institute capture research output and data from external sources, showcase the institute’s research work, and comply with funders’ open-access policies. The Esploro solution will replace Weizmann’s institutional research repository and will be integrated with the institute’s research information system.

(SirsiDynix) SirsiDynix announced that the Yorkshire and Humber Library Management System framework agreement, led by Leeds City Council, was awarded to SirsiDynix in March 2019. The award will allow the 15 authorities of the Libraries Connected Yorkshire and Humber Branch to call off the framework, realizing the goal of a common Library Management System across the region. Leeds City Council is the first authority to call off the framework contract.
