(Evergreen Project) Evergreen Release 3.4 is now available, and the software update adds features for users as well as library staff. The most dramatic addition for users is the implementation of book carousels, displaying book cover images on the public catalog home page that can be animated or static, and can be updated manually or automatically maintained.

(EnvisionWare) EnvisionWare announced the release of version 2.0 of EnvisionWare Branch Manager. This communications software is designed for libraries to manage and monitor communications and alerts. Branch Manager Version 2.0 combines enterprise functionality with enhanced communication tools at the branch level and system wide. With this new release, users have the ability to filter and target messages to Subscribers and Groups so that Library staff can receive only the alerts that pertain to their department or branch. This includes instant alerts from RFID gates as well as alerts from EnvisionWare® OneStop™ self-service circulation stations

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery solution have been granted the United States Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP)’s Authorization with sponsorship from the Department of Health and Human Services, after a rigorous evaluation that demonstrated the security practices and controls of Ex Libris Alma and Primo meet the U.S. Government’s security requirements for cloud services.

(Biblionix) Biblionix announced that its ground-breaking Reserve Express capability has been significantly enhanced. The Apollo ILS/LSP Reserve Express feature has allowed patrons to subscribe to their favorite authors for receiving new titles. Whenever staff catalogs such new books, they simply click a button to add all subscribers to the reserve list, in random order. This lets patrons rest easy and not be concerned with the arrival timing of new books; as subscribers, they know they’ll receive them. And staff need not maintain manual lists of subscribers.
