(Association of American Publishers) The Association of American Publishers (AAP) announced that its Directors have unanimously elected Brian Napack as Chairman of the Board, effective September 25, 2020. Mr. Napack, President and CEO of John Wiley & Sons, has been AAP's Vice Chairman since the beginning of the year, and a Board member since 2017.

(ORCID) ORCID announced the appointment of Chris Shillum as its new Executive Director. Shillum follows ORCID's founding Executive Director, Dr. Laurel Haak, who left the organization in June to direct her energy and skills to establishing her company, Mighty Red Barn, that supports start-ups in building information-sharing tools and platforms. ORCID selected Shillum after an extensive global search led by Perrett Laver and a team of ORCID Board members. ORCID Board Chair Linda O'Brien coordinated the search.

(Koios) Koios, the company that manages free Google advertising for public libraries, is announcing a transition in company leadership. On August 1st, Peter Velikonja, Head of Research, succeeded Trey Gordner as the chief executive at Koios. Gordner, Koios' founder, has stepped back to enroll in graduate school, and will become a part-time advisor.

(EBSCO Information Services) GOBI Library Solutions from EBSCO, a division of EBSCO Information Services, has expanded its Business Development team, hiring Andy Soanes as Business Development Manager. In this role, Soanes will be working to distribute EBSCO's print and e-book offerings to academic libraries in the United Kingdom and Ireland through GOBI Library Solutions.

Ruttenberg joined ARL in 2011 as program director for transforming research libraries, later serving as the director of Scholars & Scholarship and then as the senior director of program strategy.
